Happy 80 PAUL SIMON!

13 October 2021

Paul Frederic Simon was born on October 13, 1941 in Newark, New Jersey.

Happy 80 to an outstanding singer/songwriter and graceful pop voice. He started
his brilliant career with Art Garfunkel back in 1956 – 65 years ago! They scored hit
single after hit single and several million-selling LPs. They split in 1970, both starting
a solo journey.

He recorded 14 solo studio albums, with In The Blue Light (2018) as his most recent
one. His 2006 longplayer Surprise was co-produced by Brian Eno who also took care
of electronics on all, but one track.

Three (hard to choose) memorable Simon moments

– SOUNDS OF SILENCE –
(Soul-stirring live version from the duo’s historic
1981 concert in Central Park, New York)

– STILL CRAZY AFTER ALL THESE YEARS –
(Gripping live version)

– YOU CAN CALL ME AL –

No, three songs are not enough to honor the legend.
So let’s play his Greatest Hits on this festive day…
