American singer-songwriter MARK LANEGAN was born on 25 November 1964
in Ellensburg, Washington. Happy 60 to the singular artist with one of the most
impressive baritone voices ever in rock.
He was the frontman of grunge band Screaming Trees (1984-2000). He started
a successful solo career and also played/recorded with multiple artists such as Queens Of The Stone Age, Isobel Campbell, The Gutter Twins with Greg Dulli, Soulsavers
and many more.
In March 2020 Lanegan was infected with Covid-19, went into a coma, couldn’t
walk for months, and got completely deaf. While recovering he started to write a
memoir called Devil In A Coma.
On 22 February 2022 ast year, he passed away. No cause of death was revealed. R.I.P.

Happy 70 to the legendary singer/songwriter who released 3 albums with his Ants and
6 solo longplayers. With the Ants he scored 3 top No 1 hit singles in the UK, including the title track of his 1981 Prince Charming LP (#2 in the UK). He has also worked as an actor, appearing in many films and television episodes.
Erick Lee Purkhiser, better known as Lux Interior (he took his artist name from
a car advertisement), the psycho-billy frontman of clash and crash punks THE CRAMPS
was born on 21 October 1946 in Akron, Ohio. Happy 78 to one of the most charismatic
live performers in rock history.
He met his sexy muse, guitar soulmate, and future wife Poison Ivy (born Kristy Marlana Wallace) in 1972 and they started their garage trash combo The Cramps in 1976. The band released 8 studio albums between 1980 and 2003. The end came when Interior passed away in 2009 due to an aortic dissection. He was only 62.
ROBERT ARTHUR MOULD was born on 16 October 1960
in a village called Malone in the state of New York. Happy 64!
He was co-founder of hardcore noise trio Hüsker Dü
who produced six albums between 1983 and 1987.
After the group split up Mould launched a successful solo
career with, so far, no less than 14 albums. All here.
3 years ago Mould released Distortion: 2008-2019, the third collection
in a series of four expansive vinyl box sets chronicling his solo career.

born in Bridport, Dorset, England on 9 October 1969.
Happy 55 to a remarkable singer-songwriter with a remarkable career
scoring several masterly albums. So far she recorded/released 10 LPs
with I Inside The Old Year Dying (2023) as the most recent one.
. PJ always followed her own capricious path, exploring herself and her art from
different angels. With every album she surprised and she triumphed. Not many
can claim the same. One of the most compelling artists of her generation. Hands
down.
