scored his biggest hit in 1972, 50 years ago today, when he topped the British charts
(also 4 weeks at No 1 in the USA). WITHOUT YOU was written and performed by
English rockers Badfinger.

When Nilsson heard the song at a party, he thought it was
a Beatles track. He loved it, recorded it and scored big time.
