Starry-Eyed And Romantic – Here’s HOWIE PAYNE With Oasis Influenced Pearl ‘FADE OUT FADE IN’…
Reveries for the laziest day of the week…
17 May 2020
Guitarist and songwriter HOWIE PAYNE, ex-frontman of British band The Stands (2002-2005) just launched his brand new 4-track EP IN DREAMS featuring glam knockout Faster Than Light and aroused power pop jingles In Dreams and Into Daylight. Three tonic pieces that could come straight of Ty Segall‘s 2017 glam rock foray.
But today I want to shine the lights on the tempting closer of the EP, the romantic and starry-eyed pearl FADE OUT FADE IN. A tender reverie which originates from a long night out on the tiles with the Gallagher brothers when Howie‘s former band The Stands were out on tour with Oasis. It’s a soul-stirring beauty bringing Noel Gallagher‘s ballad Talk Tonight to mind as it has the same melancholic resonance and yearning sentiment. A sweet little gem for the midnight hours.
