Celebrated Welsh rocker DAVE EDMUNDS topped the UK singles charts
with I HEAR YOU KNOCKING (more than 30 million streams on Spotify)
55 years ago, on 28 October 1970.

The song was written in 1955 by American musician and band
leader Dave Bartholomew who died in 2019, aged 100!

Edmunds also topped the Irish
charts and peaked at #4 in the US.

The now 81-year-old rocker experienced a major cardiac arrest before being
revived with CPR. According to his wife Cici Edmunds, he is currently stable and
recovering.

Welsh rocker DAVE EDMUNDS was born on 15 April 1944 in Cardiff.

Happy 80 to the renowned R&B guitarist who played with Love Sculpture (1968-1970) and one-off band Rockpile (feat. Nick Lowe) and released several solo LPs over the years.

He got really famous with hit single I HEAR YOU KNOCKING that topped the UK Single Charts in 1970. A song written by composer/musician Dave Bartholomew in 1955.
