VISION VIDEO is an outfit out of Athens, Georgia formed in March 2018. Named for a now-defunct local video rental store out of nostalgia for a fave Friday night ritual of renting horror movies, thereby keeping a piece of Athens history alive through the band’s name. Their music is influenced by Bauhaus, Joy Division, The Cure, The Smiths, Type O Negative among others.

The band just released new darksome single IN MY SIDE. A cutting song about “trying
to find normalcy in relationships that are inherently toxic or detrimental. I likened this to
being hunted down by a serial killer in the song. It’s also sort of my homage to 80’s horror
and slasher flicks. “ explains frontman Dusty Gannon.

‘In My Side’ is a black and white colored, spookish electro stunner centered around a tenebrous melody bringing New Order‘s blue Mondays dynamics to mind and most
of all Peter Hook‘s glimmering bass riffs. Despite the overall gloom and doom moodiness you’ll lose yourself in the dramatic feistiness of this cracker’s drive and its feverish and immersing vocal performance. I’m sure Freddy Krueger razors hand will tickle when he hears this spine-chilling jingle on Elm Street.
