FAT DADS – Jangly British Indies Augment Your Adrenalin Production With New Catchy Cracker ‘JENNY’

Daily electricity to load your batteries

3 November 2023

Band: FAT DADS
Who: 5 indie rockers from Carlisle/Kirkcudbright, who got together early last year, who have made an immediate impact upon music lovers far and wide. Their raw sound, coupled with DIY ethics and ability to write memorable indie dance-floor-fillers.

New single: JENNY

TUTV: Guitar music dead? Go away. Wait, no, stay, listen to this catching cracker and find out why indie rock-pop is alive and kicking. Fat Dads are definitely fans of New York City‘s riff darlings The Strokes (so am I). Jenny is a jingle jangle belter with a happy-go-lucky groove that augments your adrenalin production on the spot. It’s a feel-good-better-best tune – think Teenage Fanclub‘s swagger in the 90s – that puts a big smile, from left to right and back, on your face. So welcome in these grim times. Sunbeams on a misty fall day. Load your batteries.

You can sing along, hum along, or whistle along.
An elevating thrill it is. And when Jenny comes
home all will be perfect.

Smoking Engine WEEK NEEZ Thunders With Propelling Force On New Single ‘JENNY’

20 April 2021

Band: WEEK NEEZ
Who: A musical act of some kind from
Wollongong, New South Wales

Pick: JENNY – brand new single
About: “A romantic tale of deep longing and unrequited love.”

Score: Holy moly! Wham bloody wham bam! This jagged jackhammer explodes from
the badass kick-off with propelling force working its way to the knockout chorus with
fired-up dash. Can’t remember hearing such a smoking love song. Sounds like Green Day on ecstasy, like Black Sabbath if they had been a pugnacious punk band in overdrive, like The Clash if they had been a white-riotous hard rock band. This a fucktastic sucker punch with a volcanic climax. Red-hot-blooded stroke!

Guitar Pop Bliss – CRYSTAL CITIES Start 2021 With New Single ‘JENNY? HOW WERE WE TO KNOW’

2 January 2021

Sydney’s guitar pop/rock act CRYSTAL CITIES will spoil
our ears this year with sophomore longplayer called
HOLD ME CLOSE HOLD ME TIGHT.

It will be out when all 10 tracks have been seeing the day of light as
individual singles with each song getting the chance to be absorbed
and appreciated by their fans rather than getting overlooked.

Jared King (Bass and backing vocals) explains: “I think content and momentum
are two very important things to be aware of in the streaming-age. Releasing multiple
songs all at once is wasted potential in my eyes. We’ve worked so hard on each and
every track on this album so why not let each one have it’s time in the spotlight rather
than getting lost in the noise of an entire album release all at once.”

To start the new year CC reveal another, the fourth, new single of the upcoming
full length. JENNY? HOW WERE WE TO KNOW shows again what the Aussies do
best. Creating multidimensional pop tunes with an instant impact on your aural
radar. Like little symphonies coming down to earth from a sky-high universe.

How did we get back here?
Where do we go from here?
Jenny, how were we to know?
