JUDAS PRIEST Honor Peers BLACK SABBATH With A Jaw-Dropping ‘WAR PIGS’ Cover
Daily noise that works faster than a stream of caffeine
3 July 2025
This Saturday, July 5th, metal overlords BLACK SABBATH
play their final concert in their hometown of Birmingham (UK)
with a giant cast of support acts.
Sabbath‘s peers JUDAS PRIEST are not on the list as they’re on a tour
of their own, but they want to honor Ozzy & Co with a cover of 1970’s
anti-war anthem WAR PIGS.
JP played it regularly on their shows lately. For the occasion, they
recorded it in the studio and shared it with a video clip (see below).
Their take is pretty cool, even jaw-dropping. Legendary
frontman Rob Halford‘s performance is paranoid.
“Day of judgement, God is calling
On their knees, the war pigs crawling
Begging mercy for their sins
Satan laughing, spreads his wings
Oh, Lord, yeah”

Waking Up With JUDAS PRIEST Having A ‘PANIC ATTACK’
Daily noise that works faster than any stimulant
13 October 2023
Last weekend metal luminaries JUDAS PRIEST announced their 19th LP
during their performance at the Power Trip Festival in the Coachella Valley.
They named it INVINCIBLE SHIELD and will shake
the world on March 8. Pre-order info here.
And here comes the fucktastic first single.
PANIC ATTACK is all you want from Judas Priest. Electric chair electricity created by hysterical guitars and ruthless drumming joining arms for a blitzkrieg crusade at an alarming speed. Hellish pyrotechnics will make your ears flap in all directions.
And in the middle, as usual, grandiloquent blusterer Rob Halford steels the show with
his sky-scraping vocality. At 72 his pipes still produce enough titanic bombast to blow your roof to pieces. His vocal range is s-e-n-s-a-t-i-o-n-a-l. Oil your metallic lungs and scream your ass off too.
Have yourself a mind-blowing panic attack.

DOLLY PARTON Goes Metal With JUDAS PRIEST Voice Rob Halford On Her New Belter ‘BYGONES’
New striking strokes
17 June 2023
At the age of 77, imperishable country superstar DOLLY PARTON
is still very alive and kickin’, working much longer than 9 to 5.
The glam and glitter diva just announced details of her 49th (!) LP.
It’s called ROCKSTAR and lands on November 17.
Parton about the album: “I’m so excited to finally present my first Rock and Roll album.
I am very honored and privileged to have worked with some of the greatest iconic singers
and musicians of all time and to be able to sing all the iconic songs throughout the album
was a joy beyond measure. I hope everybody enjoys the album as much as I’ve enjoyed
putting it together!”
Along with the news came the first high-voltage track Magic Man.
And with the second taster named BYGONES she turns up the decibels even more.
Dolly goes metal? Absolutely, Judas Priest vocalist Rob Halford (who co-wrote the song). Motley Crue’s Nikki Six also plays on the track.
Parton: “Bygones” is an original song of mine featuring Rob Halford from Judas Priest with Nikki Sixx and John 5. It is one of my very favorites on the whole album. The song fits with so many couples, and coupling my voice with Rob, one of my all-time favorites, made it even more special“.
Here comes the unthinkable.
Dolly is a metalhead!
