KERRANG! New Edition With Cover Star TAYLOR MOMSEN Of Heavy NYC Rockers THE PRETTY RECKLESS

THE PRETTY RECKLESS are an idolized 70s-inspired heavy rock band from
New York City, formed in 2009, fronted by the drop-dead gorgeous Taylor
Momsen gifted with a skyscraping voice. She was just 16 when she joined
the group.

At the age of 3, she was already a kid actress and became a model in her teens.
And she still plays in movies and walks the catwalk in between inflaming TPR.

Momsen: “Music is where I can be me. Acting is easy. I’ve been doing it for so long
and I totally love it. But you’re playing a character instead of yourself. Music is more
personal because you’re writing it and you’re involved in every step of it.”

The band have pieced together their 5th album,
named DEAR GOD. It’ll hit the streets on June 26th.

after the people I love are gone, and that’s a really beautiful
thing.

For all who (like me) don’t know EVERY TIME I DIE
here’s a thing or two to know about those manicial
noiseniks.

They’re veteran metalcore junks from Buffalo, New York . They dropped 9 LPs, like they
were bombs, between 1998-2021, then called it a day. But the hunger to blow up stages every time they live, got them back on the road this year. Kerrang joined them for 72 hours. Read all about it HERE.

Band: CREEPER
Who: Creepy, doom and gloom
eccentrics from the UK. They’re
active since 2014.

On October 25th they release their 4th LP,
called Sanguivore II: Mistress of Death.

I never heard of these horror punks before, but when I saw them on
the cover of the new Kerrang issue I couldn’t resist putting them here
on the blog.

LINKIN PARK – ‘FROM ZERO’ To Heroes Again On Their Comeback Album

In July 2017 devastating news hit the huge fan base of nu-metal rockers
LINKIN PARK when the passing of frontman Chester Bennington was
announced. He committed suicide at the age of 41.

The Californian band released 7 albums between 2000 and 2007 and their
future was in doubt. But a couple of months ago rumours suggested an
unexpected comeback

The rumours were right. LP are back with a new line-up featuring long-time
members Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Dave “Phoenix” Farrell, and Joe Hahn,
alongside two newcomers Emily Armstrong of grunge rockers Dead Sara
and drummer Colin Brittain (songwriter, producer for G Flip, Illenium).

And yesterday their new album, baptized FROM ZERO came out.
Yes, they start again from scratch with Emily Armstrong as the new
vocal heroine Emily Armstrong next to Mike Shinoda. The range of
her voice is insane and scrapes the sky on repeat.

Shinoda about the album: “Before Linkin Park, our first band name was Xero. This album title refers to both this humble beginning and the journey we’re currently undertaking. Sonically and emotionally, it is about past, present, and future — embracing our signature sound, but new and full of life. It was made with a deep appreciation for our new and longtime bandmates, our friends, our family, and our fans. We are proud of what Linkin Park has become over the years, and excited about the journey ahead.”

Kerrang‘s verdict: “Sure, not every song is something to write home about, and not everyone is going to be on board with a new singer, but as a piece of work, it’s a clear reminder of why Linkin Park reached the heights they did and continue to influence multiple generations of artists. Welcome back.”

British punkcore duo WARGASM are on
the cover of the new KERRANG! issue.

They released their jaw-dropping debut album VENOM
last October. Definitely their world-conquering opus.
