Ahead of it comes a final preview, called TAKE THE FORM. A voltaic, strumming
riff-ripper accompanied by a multi-psychedelic-colored ‘I got my eyes on you’ video.

Barnes: “It’s a song about trying to will a person into becoming something they’re not. Something that you want them to be for your own benefit, and suffering terribly as
a result.”

It’s the third longplayer in 3 years. If the lockdowns had one advantage
it was that many artists were never as productive with all the time on
their hands when sitting at home. I still wonder what plumbers did
during the lockdowns.

First single: MARIJUANA’S A WORKING WOMAN – single title of the year?

Barnes: “Like all the songs on the album, this one was informed by pandemic isolation
and the psychological struggle inherent in that kind of existence. The lyrics are a free flowing collage of all that I was perceiving and absorbing during that time period. I swapped alcohol
for weed midway through the pandemic and that is what the title of the song refers to.”
