Reveries for the laziest day of the week

26 January 2025

Australian electro dance-pop outfit EMPIRE OF THE SUN
are spreading uplifting vibes since 2007.

Last year they launched their 4th longplayer, titled ASK THAT GOD and this
weekend they offered its deluxe edition containing 2 new, bonus tracks.

One of them is SOMEBODY’S SUN. A jaunty tune for lazy Sundays. At the end
of the song former Fleetwood Mac voice/guitarist Lindsey Buckingham joins in.

Enjoy.

Happy 75 To STEVIE NICKS!

26 May 2023

Arresting songwriter
Magnificent voice
Gold dust woman
Femme fatale
Graceful gypsy
Gorgeous lady

Stephanie Lynn Nicks was born on
26 May 1948 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Happy 75 to the natural-born pop star.

For two years (1972/1973) she formed a duo with her boyfriend
Lindsay Buckingham. Together they released one album called
Buckinham Nicks in 1973.

In 1974 Nicks and Buckingham (awesome guitarist) joined Fleetwood Mac who,
after their blues legend Peter Green left, became a pop/rock band, mind you,
a brilliant one. Between 1975 and today the group released 8 studio albums
with, of course Rumours as their multi-million selling magnum opus in 1977.
Stevie made as many solo albums herself.

Three big STEVIE moments.

– RHIANNON –
(Written by Nicks. On FM’s eponymous 1975 LP)

– DREAMS –
(Written by Nicks. From the ‘Rumours‘ album)

– THE DEALER –
(From her 2014 solo album 24 Karat Gold)
