STEVIE WONDER was only 13 when he scored his first No 1 hit in the US, this day 59 years ago, with FINGERTIPS Pt. 2 and named Little Stevie Wonder. The youngest person ever who scored a numero uno hit. The legendary soul wonder grew up making 23 LPs (so far) and celebrated his 72nd birthday this year.

Only 12! That was STEVIE WONDER‘s age when he released his debut single ‘I CALL IT PRETTY MUSIC BUT THE OLD PEOPLE CALL IT THE BLUES‘. He didn’t write the song himself and it wasn’t a hit but this shaking little gem displayed the legend’s talent for the very first time, 57 years ago, on 16 August 1962.
