Image Of The Day – BILLY CORGAN Tour Poster
12 May 2026
Last year the Smashing Pumpkins‘s commander in chief Billy Corgan
celebrated the 30th anniversary (25 October 2025) of masterstroke LP
Mellon Collie And Infinite Sadness with some spectacular, orchestral
and big choir shows in the US.
Now, UK and European dates are announced for the grandiose operation.
Cool poster, Billy.

TOUR TOURS TOURS
Pennsylvania‘s legendary big shot TODD RUNGREN ,
aged 77, had a remarkable career, which is far from
over.
His latest LP, called Space Force already dates from 2022,
but the musical centipede is unstoppable on the road (as I
witnessed last year in Brussels, formidable show).
New dates announced for North America and Europe.
For Los Angeles grunge rock shedevils L7 (1985–2001, 2014–present)
it will be their farewell tour.
Frontwoman Donita Sparks told Pitchfork: “When L7 decided to release a documentary
in 2015, we thought maybe we would take one last victory lap around the sun by playing some shows. Instead, that lap turned into eleven more years of touring, sweat, new music, and reconnecting with the fans. We are deeply grateful and ready to give our audiences one last, loud, fun, and hopefully unforgettable night of rock & roll.”
Paramore‘s utterly charismatic frontwoman HAYLEY WILLIAMS, ‘s
current solo tour is hopelessly sold out. This asks for more dates.
British Invasion – HUMAN LEAGUE, SOFT CELL, ALISON MOYET & THE PSYCHEDELIC FURS All To America
British electro pop legends THE HUMAN LEAGUE and Marc Almond‘s
Soft Cell, plus former Yazoo voice Alison Moyet will fly together to
the US.
And the pretty in pink rockers THE PSYCHEDELIC FURS aren’t retired yet, either.
The Imperishable SPARKS Brothers Can’t Stop – New Tour Dates
6 May 2026
The brothers Ron (79) and Russell Mael (76), known to the world as SPARKS
are around since 1966. Yes, that’s 60 years and no sign of retirement. Music
is the dominant element in their DNA. They can’t stop, neither in the studio
nor on stage.
One year ago they released their 28th album, called MAD!, went on the road,
launched a 4-track EP, named Madder!, took a break after a couple of months
touring and are now fit again to play live.
Ticket info here.
This town is still big enough for the both of them.
AUSTIN CITY LIMITS FESTIVAL, TEXAS – October 2-4 & 9-11
ALL THINGS GO In COLUMBIA, MD – 25 – 27 September
IRON BLOSSOM FESTIVAL In RICHMOND, VA – 19 & 20 September
INTERPOL Announce North American Tour Dates
1 May 2026
NYC’s post-punk darlings INTERPOL aren’t the most productive band
on this planet. In their almost 30-year career they came up with only
7 albums, with 2022’s The Other Side Of Make-Believe as their latest.
On the other hand to keep in touch with their fanbase they regulary
hit the road. They just announced dates for North America, starting at
the end of July.
Still my favorite Interpol gem.
DJ SHADOW – Hip Hop Luminary’s Debut Album ‘ENDTRODUCING…’ Turns 30
30 April 2026
Influential musician DJ SHADOW, born Joshua Paul Davis 53 years
ago in San Jose (California), celebrates the 30th anniversary of his
outstanding debut LP, titled ENDTRODUCING… on 16 September.
A masterly varied, instrumental hip hop opus
composed almost entirely of samples from vinyl
records.
Endtroducing has been acclaimed by critics
as one of the greatest albums of the 1990s
NME said in a 4/5 review: “Both slyly knowing and brilliantly naive,
fusing the dramatic and the deranged to his own sweet end.”
It went to #6 in the UK and #37 in the US.
He’ll play the album in full in a string of shows in North America.
