Metal-Punk R&B Tandem NOVA TWINS Raged Against The Machine In Belgium Last Week

13 August 2024

Utterly charismatic, urban R&B punk two-piece NOVA TWINS – vocalist/guitarist
Amy Love
and bassist Georgia South – from London, entered the scene back in 2014
and attracted lots of attention with their explosive gigs and a series of big bang singles, which featured on their praised debut LP Who Are The Girls? in 2020.

But it was with last year’s post-pandemic follow-up LP SUPERNOVA that the utterly cool, human battle axes raised with the speed of a comet to stardom. British newspaper The Guardian named them the loudest, most exciting new rock band in the UK and gave the
LP a 5/5 score.

Single ‘Antagonist’

Last year I saw them for the first time going bonkers in Brussels (and all of us in the audience too) and last week at Lokerse Feesten in Belgium they went again through a steaming set of robust hip-metal-pop rowdiness.

Their Rage Against The Machine rants against any form of human intolerance doubled our adrenalin stream. Btw, RATM’s guitarist Tom Morello is a big fan. Some time ago he said: “This is an incredible band who deserve to be huge.”

They appeal to young and old and any age in between. I saw elated teenagers as
well as 50-plus-year-old music freaks jumping for joy. I said it over and over again
and I’ll do it over and over again: music unite people! Thank you, Nova Twins.

Here’s an idea of their impressive live presence.

Picture This – Sensational Nu-Rap-Metal Act WARGASM Went Nuclear In Belgium

11 August 2024

London‘s nu-rap-metal sensation WARGASMMilkie Way and Sam Matlock – raised
to stardom in the UK last year with their vitriolic debut album Venom. A demonic
tsunami of deafening headbangers and sucker-punches.

Last Tuesday, the razorblade act landed in Belgium at
Lokerse Feesten for a nuclear performance with angry
songs for sad people. Flaming set under a very hot sun.

Hefty British Steamrollers FRANK CARTER & THE RATTLESNAKES Stunned Belgium Again

10 August 2024

British alt rockers FRANK CARTER & THE RATTLESNAKES released
their 5th full length, baptized DARK RAINBOW last January.

One of the best LPs of 2024 to TUTV’s ears: “It truly a staggering record, filled with several melodramatic power ballads that generate goosebumps and some stoner rock outbursts. Carter sings his heart out with monumental vivaciousness. A vocal tour de force throughout, dealing with mixed love emotions.”

Last February the muscular Brits played in Brussels. They came, they saw, they rocked their butts off and got the elated audience (including me) all turned-on in Belgium‘s capital. And last Tuesday Carter & his snakes stunned our country again, but this time for far a bigger crowd, at Lokerse Feesten .

Tattoo artist Frank joined the people and let a fan do the singing of half a song. He organised an ‘only-ladies‘ moshpit and did what he and his band do best: making your adrenalin production go nuts, making you feel enraptured and making your day (and a couple afterward). Hail hail! Another loud and clear triumph!
