Californian Power Rock Supergroup FUZZ Drop New Buzzing Track ‘MIRROR’ From Upcoming LP

New sonic impulses

20 October 2020

If you put TY Segall on drums, the Meatbodies’ Chad Ubovich on bass, and multi-
instrumentalist Charles Moothart on guitar, together in a recording studio expect
some powerful firework as the trio already accomplished on their first two albums
Fuzz (2013) and II (2005).

They continue their thunderous way with third LP called, eh, III, out this Friday.

To get us in the right mood Fuzz just dropped the third single MIRROR.
A full steam ahead riff cannonball.

Bang, bang, here we go…

The Perfect Nightmare For MARK LANEGAN’s Voice – HEY COLOSSUS Share New Pitch Black Track ‘MIRROR’

Daily fuel to load your sonic batteries…

5 September 2020

Seems like all artists want to collaborate with the hardest working man in rockbizz.
This time it’s London’s pretty awesome post-punk noise bulldozer HEY COLOSSUS
that invited MARK LANEGAN to join them for a track of their upcoming, 13th album, Dances/Curses out 20 November via bassist Joe Thompson’s own Wrong Speed
Records label.

“The lucky thirteenth record by Hey Colossus is the work of six musicians in tune with the dualities of life as a loud rock band, fit to channel both the dances of aspiration and the
curses of reality into a record that transcends all limitations in a blinding volley of incandescence.”

The collaborative song called MIRROR is a pitch-black slow moving serpent. Creepy, ominous and enigmatic. A fitting piece for the midnight hours. I’m sure that the devil’s voice matches Lanegan‘s voice. And I’m sure that Hey Colossus wrote this nightmare
with the ex-Screaming Trees’ frontman’s unique vox. Scary but hauntingly perfect!

“Yanking a knife from the
lifeless flesh lump by my feet.”

ORCHESTRA OF SPHERES Share Extended Sax-Loaded Track ‘KOUDEDE’ From New Upcoming Album…

Brand new sonic impulses

4 September 2018

New Zealand‘s experimental and heavily jazz and world music influenced ensemble ORCHESTRA OF SPHERES started its venturesome cruises way back in 2009. They are about to release their fourth album, a double one, for Fire Records, entitled MIRROR.

” ‘Mirror’ is an exploration of energies and atmospheres, from intense futuristic funk and
sonic tape assemblages to windswept reflections from a far-flung corner of the world. It combines Orchestra of Spheres’ ecstatic rhythmic power and ritualistic vocals with an
expanded orchestral palette including bassoon, harp, viola, bass clarinet, soprano sax,
flute and bowed ektars…”
says the record label in a press statement.

Ahead of Mirror‘s release here’s the first new song. Named after and inspired by the
late Tuareg musician KOUDEDE who – unfortunately, died in a car accident six years ago – the track sounds and feels like an otherworldly sonic journey, like a transcendent and spiritual trip, like a trance-like musical odyssey. Its repetitive groove works hypnotic,
its sax play is just amazing. Experience the compelling excursion right here…
