After last years Eton Alive album Nottingham’s street poet rappers SLEAFORD MODS already have another new, their sixth, longplayer finished to hit the world. SPARE RIBS
will be out in January.
In a statement frontman Jason Williamson said about the new full length’s title: “It comes from “the idea of the amount of people that died from the first wave of coronavirus. Human lives are always expendable to the elites. We’re in a constant state of being spare ribs.”
And about lead single MORK N MINDY Williamson revealed that “the sound of the central heating and the dying smells of Sunday dinner in a house on an estate in 1982. Concrete, dinted garages, nicotine. Where beauty mainly exists in small cracks on the shell of your imagination.”
The fresh knife-sharp track features Billy Nomates. Catchy as
bloody hell and just like that one of the best singles of 2020.
