Hairy glam-metal titans MÖTLEY CRÜE
celebrate the 40th anniversary of their
3rd LP Theatre Of Pain today.

For the occasion, the Californian gang re-recorded a version of the album’s huge
power ballad hit HOME SWEET HOME (more than 275 million streams on Spotify).

The surprising fact is that they invited iconic country star Dolly Parton to do the vocals.
I love it for 2 reasons. The weird but cool collaboration itself and Parton‘s always-striking voice.

The new version of the song will be on a forthcoming
greatest hits collection called From The Beginning.

Wake up, people
here comes mötley
sweet Dölly Crüe

MÖTLEY CRÜE Fight For Their Right To Cover BEASTIE BOYS

Daily electricity to load your batteries

25 August 2024

Glam metal veterans MÖTLEY CRÜE (1981–2002, 2004–2015, 2018–present) have recorded an EP, named it Cancelled, and will share it with the world in October.

“It was really great getting in the studio and working on some tracks together. What
started out as a couple demo ideas turned into this EP produced by Bob Rock. We look
forward to getting back into the studio again soon and writing more new music, as well.”

One of the songs is a cover of Beastie Boys‘ smashing 1986 golden
oldie (You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party!) which they already
played live.

MÖTLEY CRUË – Glam Metalheads Are Back In Business With Brand New Headbanger ‘DOGS OF WAR’

Daily noise that works faster than any stimulant

27 April 2024

Until 2022 Los Angeles‘ glam and glitter metalheads MÖTLEY CRUË featured all 4 original members who started the band in 1981. Bassist Nikki Sixx, vocalist Vince Neil , drummer Tommy Lee and guitarist Mick Mars (real name Robert Alan Deal).

2 years ago Mars retired from touring with the band due to back problems. But soon
after he left he sued his mates for kicking him out the group. Meanwhile MC recruited guitarist John 5 (Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie) and have their first new music out with
brand new single DOGS OF WAR.

Neil: “It’s like old school meets new school. It’s got that old school vibe about it,
but it’s new music. Nikki came up with it and he sent me the music and I thought
it was really cool. So I started singing it and we got in the studio and it turned
into the song I think the fans are really gonna like it.

We want to keep putting out new music, too, so we don’t get stagnant. We
recorded ‘(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party)’ by the Beastie Boys and
we recorded this song, too, and I thought it turned out pretty good. There’ll
definitely be new music out next year, for sure, ’cause we recorded
a couple of other songs, too.”

Wake up people,
and bang your head
right here, right now…

The Continuing Cover Story Of TOYAH And ROBERT

16 March 2021

TOYAH WILLCOX and her husband ROBERT FRIPP keep on rocking
in the free world on their weekly Sunday Cover Lunch Sessions and get
more and more fans along the way.

This time, the by now perfectly well-oiled tandem entertains thousands
and thousands of us, from their home, with a spicy cover of sexy ripper
Girls Girls Girls by glam metal band Mötley Crüe (still alive and kicking).

Again it’s slapstick fun from start to finish with
Toyah practicing for the coming US Open.

WORST ALBUM COVERS EVER – Part 5 – ‘Generation Swine’ By MÖTLEY CRÜE…

Band: MÖTLEY CRÜE
Album: GENERATION SWINE
Released: June 1997
Question: is Trump one of the swines?
Why bad artwork? because it’s the umpteenth
time a band used silly pig masks on a cover
Why good artwork ? if it reflects the band’s
music, which stinks, it’s okay

Aaaaaarrrrgggghhhh…
