New striking strokes

A new biopic BACK TO BLACK (named after her 2nd and final album, released in 2006) chronicles the life and music of the late British songstress with the golden soul voice
AMY WINEHOUSE, through the journey of adolescence to adulthood and the creation
of one of the best-selling albums of our time premieres today in the UK and runs from
10 May in the US.

The long-time duo/friends Nick Cave and Warren Ellis composed the soundtrack.

Sam Taylor-Johnson (director of the movie, in the middle of the photo below):
“Nick and Warren were the only musicians in my mind to score Back To Black. Over
the years I’ve listened to everything they’ve composed and longed to realize the dream
of working together.  Their sensibility as well as understanding of this story has led to
a profoundly deep and moving film score.”

one bittersweet musing, sung by Nick Cave For Amy.
