LEGEND – MUDDY WATERS

4 April 2025

Blues pioneer MUDDY WATERS (real name: McKinley Morganfield, Issaquena County, Mississippi) would have celebrated his 112th birthday today. What a mannish boy.

He influenced a ton of white rockers, not in the least Keith Richards, who adored
him and learned a lot from Waters to turn himself into the human riff he was/is.

Below a 1954 article in American music magazine Hue.

Waters passed away in 1983, aged 70.
