UNCUT Magazine – New Ultimate Record Collection Edition

18 April 2026

Like the 60s the 70s were also a pivotal decade for great music. Halfway punk
made a monumental impact amidst a series of classic rock albums. In this new
Ultimate Record Collectione Editio UNCUT ranks and reviews no less than 500 LPs.

I’m sure these 10 masterpieces will be in there.

Best Punk Album Ever ‘NEVER MIND THE BOLLOCKS HERE’S THE SEX PISTOLS’ Released This Day In 1977

Back in time

28 October 2024

Band: SEX PISTOLS
1975-1978

Album: NEVER MIND THE BOLLOCKS HERE’S THE SEX PISTOLS
Released on 28 October 1977, this day 47 years ago

Simply the best punk rock album ever in my book. All killers, no fillers.
Mean Molotov cocktails, thanks to Glenn Matlock‘s titanic tunes, fueled
by Steve Jones‘ awesome riffs, Paul Cook‘s hammering power and last but
not least, the maddening man in the middle, Johnny Rotten.

Without his unique, piercing sneers, biting lyrics, viciously staring eyes,
and his charismatic appearance, the Pistols would have been a far less
memorable animal. I just loved his guts, his performance, and his early
angry young man visions.

Unfortunately Johnny Forgotten turned into a conscious parody of himself
with a pathetic ‘the whole world is against me’ attitude throughout his whole
career and a fan of moron Donald Trump fan.

SEX PISTOLS Fronted By FRANK CARTER Play Two Shows To Raise Funds For Small London Club – Bye Bye Johnny

12 June 2024

Original SEX PISTOLS, Paul Cook (drummer), Glen Matlock (bassist) and Steve
Jones
(guitarist) will perform their one and only album Never Mind The Bollocks
(still the best-ever punk LP in my book), in its entirety at a fundraiser for London’s
historical, small Bush Hall venue in Shepherd’s Bush on August 13 and 14.

As they distanced themselves and vice versa of former voice/face Johnny Forgotten Rotten who became a far-right thinking idiot, who is a fanatic fan of would-be dictator Donald Trump Duck and who recently wore a t-shirt with ‘0% LIBERAL’ on it will not front them (it would be hypocrite and pathetic if he still would sing a Sex Pistol track, any
one of them).

Sharp-cutting vox Frank Carter (from FC & The Rattlesnakes who released
one of the best albums of 2024 with Dark Rainbow) will replace him.

Cook: “We’re going to be playing Pistols numbers cause they need support and they need the money. We thought it would be a great way to stop it going under. This is my local venue. I grew up in Shepherd’s Bush and I still live round here. It would be a real shame to see it disappear and we want to keep it going. So everyone get down to the gig!”

Jones: “If it all goes wrong. It’s Paul’s fucking fault.”

Glen Matlock: “Smaller music venues are the lifeblood of new music. It’s in these intimate spaces where the spirit of live music truly comes alive so we need to keep them going.”

Carter: “When the Sex Pistols call, you answer. I’m very excited to be a part of it.”

Bye bye, Johnny,
bye bye, Johnny B. bad.

my punk ears.

In Japan the album was promoted in magazines
with the ad below. Talking about lost in translation.

Anarchy in Japan.
