BLONDIE Returns With 12th Album ‘HIGH NOON’ In February – Hear The First JOHNNY MARR Written Single

15 October 2026

BLONDIE are one of those iconic star bands that have been around for ages,
actually since 1974. Yep, 52 years, and still fronted by the now 81-year-old
legend Debbie Harry and her former husband Chris Stein (76) as guitarist
and co-songwriter.

They just announced the upcoming birth of their 12th full-length, their
first in 9 years. It’s baptized HIGH NOON and will see the day of light
on 26 February 2027.

The record features the final recordings of co-founder
and drummer Clem Burke, who passed away last year
in April.

Across the 13 songs, Harry and Chris Stein are joined by special guests including
Johnny Marr, Glen Matlock, Zach Condon of Beirut, and Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig
of Lucius.

Debbie: “This album is classic Blondie. An amalgamation of all our different
influences and eras into something new. This music feels grounded in the present,
shaped by who we are and how we’re living now.”

Pre-order info here.

The lead single SPECTRAL EYES is written by ex-The Smiths guitar champ
Johnny Marr, who released his new top-drawer album The Age Of Everything
2 weeks ago.

He knows exactly what Blondie dance-guitar-pop is about.

MOGWAI & IGGY POP Go ‘UNDERGROUND’

1 October 2026

Scottish mavericks MOGWAI celebrate their 30th anniversary.

To mark the remarkable event they will release a career-spanning compilation,
with a total of 28 tracks, baptized HAPPY TEARS: THE STORY OF MOGWAI on
8 January 2027.

It will feature songs from across their career, and
also rarities from across their discography.

Tracklist and pre-order info here.

They will also include a brand new song, called UNDERGROUND
performed with no none other than your punk dog IGGY POP.

Pop: “I’ve always liked Mogwai. The opening of the track reminded me of the crushing modern loneliness. The sung vocal, felt like it was made for someone who is pissed off and doesn’t mind saying so.”

Stuart Braithwaite (Mogwai‘s guitarist/vocalist): “Hearing the Stooges had been a life-changing moment for me. Their self-titled album was pretty much my bible. It was druggy, dumb and completely primal. I’d never heard anything quite like it and even though that
band had pretty much fallen apart by the time I was born, I grew to love the three Stooges albums as much as any music I’d heard.”

Now let’s go to business. Here comes their lust for life
collaboration UNDERGROUND. A torrid motherrocker.
A happy song for happy people.

DEATH FROM ABOVE 1979 Announce Their 5th Album ‘PRIVATE LIVES’ And Present The Crushing Title Track

30 September 2026

Canadian bulldozers DEATH FROM ABOVE 1979, bassist Jesse F. Keeler
and drummer/vocalist Sebastien Grainger are back in noizz town.

They’ve canned their 5th album, their first in 6 years. It’s titled PRIVATE LIVES
and will hit the streets on 29 January 2027. Tracklist and order info here.

The artwork uses early imagery. See here.

Press info: “Death From Above 1979 have for up more than 25 years maintained
the reputation for raucous, in-your-face rock music that’s packed with energy and
hooks galore. And they’re not done yet.

Private Lives finds them more invigorated than ever before, with sharp and tangy
melodies complimenting the duo’s signature low-end thickness and eternally cool swagger.”

Grainger says: “When we first started making music, it was as easy as going down
to the basement. It was a physical process. An extension of just hanging out and living
together. As the years went by, the process became more deliberate.

“The trick is to remember what makes it fun and special. Our band has always been
a balance of sweet and sour. Heavy music that’s also tender and playful. We’re really
cooking when we lean into those contradictions.”

The title track is the first single.
An ear-shattering assault that
rocks fiercely.

ERASURE – British Synth Vets Announce New Album & Tour And Share First Single ‘WINGS OF LOVE’

29 September 2026

English synth-pop celebs ERASURE, vocalist Andy Bell and keyboardist/songwriter Vince Clarke, who co-founded Depeche Mode back in 1980, announced the upcoming birth of their 20th full-length. It’s titled Radio!! Radio!! and will be launched on March 12th, 2027.

Tracklist and press info here.

They will tour the album next year, dates below.

Andy Bell: “When you’re a songwriting partnership for so long, it’s very deep, kind of like a soul connection. You trust that person with your life, and because of the nature of songwriting, you just lay bare your soul. That becomes a sacred space.”

“I’m so pleased that we were able to find a way for the tour to work for Vince. He’s always too modest but he’s so much more than the Musical Director, Vince is one of the great loves of my life and everything we do as Erasure we decide together.”

Along with the news comes the lead single WINGS OF LOVE.
Out-and-out Erasure synth-pop nirvana. Daydreaming time.

LAMBRINI GIRLS – Razorblade Punk Sensation Gear Up For Their 2nd LP

16 September 2026

New album artwork

LAMBRINI GIRLS, the two riotous razorblade girrrrlzz – vox/guitarist Phoebe Lunny and bassist Lilly Macieira – from Brighton (UK) with an insatiable appetite for mass moshpits and kicking political, right-wing asses, rose to fame like a crazed comet in the past few years.

Following, last year’s ferocious punk debut LP, Who Let The Dogs Out,
they went from dusty clubs to big venues, all over the Western world.

Now they have announced their follow-up longplayer.
It’s named NO REFUNDS and will hit the streets on
January 15, 2027.

Tracklist and pre-order info here.

Press info: The follow-up to their acclaimed 2025 debut Lambrini Girls return with
a darker and increasingly more urgent record for a world that, in their own words,
“got even worse”. The band are keeping up an undeniable momentum with their
potent strain of scathing social commentary and barbed humour.

‘No Refunds’ confronts a litany of modern horrors, from genocide and fascism to the rise
of AI, reproductive rights, and the descent into the grubby basement of the ‘manosphere’,
all whilst expanding the sonic world that made Lambrini Girls’ debut so memorable.

Industrial punk sits alongside moments of pop-adjacent immediacy, angular basslines
and unexpected vulnerability, with the duo pairing their most confrontational material
with the dark humour and wit that has become synonymous with the duo.”

The combustible lead-single Cult Of Celebrity was already launched in April.

The 2nd taster is now out,
called Bang Bang Bang.

Let’s go ballistic.
