Happy 57 To NOEL GALLAGHER

Noel Thomas David Gallagher was born in Manchester on 29 May 1967.

Happy 57 to the sublime singer/songwriter who wrote/recorded a series of unforgettable
world hits and a couple of superb LPs with Oasis (1991–2009), one of my all-time favorite bands (on record and on stage).

He went solo – with his High Flying Birds – 15 years ago, after the umpteenth fight with his brother Liam. He canned 4 longplayers so far with his birds, with last year’s Council Skies as the most recent one.

A day to feel supersonic, Noel.

NOEL GALLAGHER Shares Demo Of A New Song ‘IN A LITTLE WHILE’ That Doesn’t Sound Like A Demo

New striking strokes

To get rid of his New Year‘s hangover (I guess), Mister NOEL GALLAGHER composed
a tender lullaby, just him and his acoustic guitar (although his High Flying Birds, are credited too).

It’s named IN A LITTLE WHILE and announced as the demo of a new song (I’m pretty sure it’s from last year’s Council Skies sessions) although it doesn’t sound like that as Gallagher showed over and over again that he’s a sucker for acoustic ballads, from his Oasis days on (Talk To Me, Half The World Away, The Masterplan etc) and doesn’t blow them out of proportion.

Check in.

Definitely, Maybe – Do The Gallagher Brothers Make Up? GRAHAM COXON (Guitarist BLUR) Says: “Do It”

The first almost credible rumours of a reunion of Manchester‘s
infamous band OASIS (the best band in the world for 1 and half
year, according to Noel) are now coming from the longtime fighting
brothers directly. Liam said several times that Noel‘s wife opposed
reconciliation.

A few days ago the news came in that Noel and his wife are divorcing.
So, if Liam‘s tweet (below) is credible, it’s possible Noel took inspiration
from his Oasis classic Don’t Look Back In Anger, or he needs the band’s
reunion money for a, probably, sky-high alimony.

Yesterday Liam started the fuss with this tweet.

The countless reactions, of course, were in favor
of a Liam/Noel meeting with an Oasis reunion
as the final result.

I love Blur’s guitarist Graham Coxon‘s response.

Many hate them, but millions love them. Anyway, I only saw Oasis 27 times
and It would be awesome to make it at least 35 times. Yes, if they do a reunion
tour, I’ll take a break from my daily blogging and follow them around Europe
like a fool on the hill.

DO IT

You could wait for a lifetime
To spend your days in the sunshine
You might as well do the white line
Cos when it comes on top
You gotta make it happen!

OASIS – Actually Noel Gallagher Solo – Shares Unreleased Ballad Demo ‘DON’T STOP’…

New sonic impulses

30 April 2020

Oasis comeback? Oasis reunion? Not definitely, not maybe. It’s actually an acoustic
ballad by chief Noel Gallagher recorded about 15 years ago in a soundcheck in Hong Kong, shared now as an OASIS track although his brother Liam is not on it. Coincidence?
I don’t think so, I’m sure Noel found also demo’s with Liam singing, but he won’t share those. Idle bastard!

Noel G. wrote on his Twitter account last night, 29 April: “I had infinite time to kill lately.
I stumbled across an old demo which I thought had been lost forever.”

The previously unreleased song is titled DON’T STOP and is family
of that moody beauty ‘Talk Tonight’ (1995). Have a listen right here…
