A new tribute and charity album, titled Heart Of Gold: The Songs of Neil Young Vol. 1
will be available from April 25 on. Pre-order info here.

This immersive LP invites you to journey through a rich tapestry of sound and sentiment, blending beloved classics with fresh interpretations of Young songs that honor his legacy. Volume I features covers by Courtney Barnett, The Lumineers, Sharon Van Etten, Mumford and Sons, Brandi Carlile, and many more.

Proceeds from the album will benefit The Bridge School Of California. An organization dedicated to the educational needs of children with speech and physical impairments.

BECK Covers ‘OLD MAN’ For NLF Commercial – NEIL YOUNG Is Not Happy

Beck covered Neil Young‘s 1972 classic
Old Man with a tender acoustic take.

Beck‘s performance was destined to be used in a commercial to
promote this Sunday’s NLF (National Football League) game with
the Kansas City Chiefs vs the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, on
the Sunday Night Football broadcast.

Neil Young who never ever gave permission to use any of his songs for
commercial advertising, in any way, is not so happy with Beck’s move, as
he showed with a picture, without a caption, on his Instagram account.

I wonder who will be the loser of Sunday’s game.
