COURTNEY BARNETT & SLEATER-KINNEY & FRED ARMISEN Get Physical

To honor OLIVIA NEWTON JOHN, who passed away on 8 August
at the age of 73, following along severe battle against breast cancer,
veteran Riot Grrls Sleater-Kinney, Aussie songstress Courtney Barnett
and American actor/comedian Fred Armisen teamed up at a festival
in Marymoor Park in Redmond, Washington, a couple of days ago.

They performed her massive 1981 hit PHYSICAL. It became a lively celebration
of the late superstar. Almost everybody with hairbands (as in Olivia’s sweaty video
of back then). S-K’s Corin Tucker did the vocals and the ONJ gym dance with
Fred Armisen.

Singer/actress OLIVIA NEWTON JOHN was born in Cambridge, England 73 years ago. Tonight she lost her battle with breast cancer. She died on her Ranch in Southern California

Her husband John Easterling broke the news on her Instagram account.

She released a total of 26 albums and played in 15 movies – with
Grease (1978) as her most famous one – between 1965 and 2020.

She had her first number one single in 1971 with the lead track
(a song written by Bob Dylan) – of her debut LP If Not For You.
