New album: THE ULTRA VIVID LAMENT
The band’s 14th longplayer.
“A record that gazes in isolation across a cluttered room, fogged
by often painful memories, to focus on an open window framing
a gleaming vista of land melting into sea and endless sky,” says

Lead-single: ORWELLIAN TIMES
No reflections about the birds and the bees, no cheesy love
songs, no commerce-orientated strategy for the Welsh legends.
The Manics always got up, stood up, and used their freedom
of critical and social speech and they still do.
‘Orwellian Times’ is about “the battle to claim meaning, the erasing of
context within debate, the overriding sense of factional conflict driven by
digital platforms leading to a perpetual state of culture war.” Not a fun
topic, but, unfortunately, this science-fiction-like era is for real and it’s
not a fun one at all. The street preachers still care with a big heart, a
big soul and a sharp view.
2021 is the new 1984.
If you tolerate this then your
children will be next…
