NO MUSIC ON A DEAD PLANET – Reworked JOY DIVISION Album Cover For Charity Campaign

Legendary graphic designer Peter Saville created the iconic
front sleeve of Joy Division‘s hugely influential debut LP
Unknown Pleasures
back in 1979.

He made some changes to the image destined for a charity t-shirt
to support the No Music On A Dead Planet campaign initiated by
Music Declares Emergency.

A group of artists, music industry professionals and organisations that
stand together to declare a climate and ecological emergency and call
for an immediate governmental response to protect all life on Earth. We
believe in the power of music to promote the cultural change needed to
create a better future.

No one than better Peter Hook – JD’s heroic bassist –
is the man to promote the project

He explains: “The truth of the matter is that the world is in terrible
trouble now and if we don’t look to address the climate emergency
facing the planet immediately then ourselves and all future generations
face tremendous problems. If everyone can look to make changes,
we could all have a huge impact.”
