Who: Alt rock trio from Switzerland founded in 2012. Over the past 15 years, they have built a reputation as one of Europe’s fiercest live rock acts. Combining raw riffs, sultry vocals, and grungy swagger. So far they released 4 LPs. You can check them on Spotify.

New single from their upcoming EP ‘Embers’, out on February 6th.
It’ll aslo features previous singles Fire 2.0 and Hellhound 2.0.

A reimagined version of a song originally featured on their debut album ‘VTS’.
It’s an anthem about breaking free, letting go, and living life without compromise.

chorus, which brings the sonic warmth of Beirut to mind.

Who: A bunch of old hardcore guys from Montreal, Québec trying to make
pop songs with sweet licks, infectious choruses, and introspective lyrics with
some epic breakdowns thrown in make for some intense and supremely
addictive songs.

Franz Ferdinand, The Strokes, Cloud Nothings.

First taster from their forthcoming 2nd album, named
Let’s Not Overthink This, out on 13 February 2026.

Press info: The song drives on tightly wound guitars and a rhythm section
that feels both precise and restless, while frontman Savage leans into the
tension between bravado and self-recognition.

The lyrics circle around familiar patterns: burned bridges, late-night decisions,
the impulse to run from responsibility. The hook lands like a self-directed challenge.

TUTV: After a neurotic riff intro, we get into a pelvis-trigging groove, not for long
that is, as those neurotic riffs return every time the mental, vociferous chorus
comes back to kick you in the nose.

While listening to this psychotic punk chant, 3 suckers
are born to lose. You can’t’ fake this shit, it’s real.

THE RATS – Badass Belgian Punk Grinchs Drop Xmas Firecracker ‘BOXING DAY’

Who: Hungry punks from Ghent, Belgium who have
released their smashing debut EP Disco To Disco
last year.

New Track:
The first single of their upcoming
debut album, baptized Boxing Days.

Press info: “Boxing Days” is their first release with new guitarist Eno Meulenbergs.
This line-up change opened up a renewed sense of creative freedom. You can hear it immediately on single Boxing Day, which begins in an unusually melancholic tone carried by sweeping guitars and drums, spoken word vocals and delicate strings. Once the track explodes, it’s clear the band hasn’t lost an ounce of intensity.

Lyrically, the single sits comfortably in the Fairytale of New York tradition:
Christmas as a backdrop for regret, self-reflection and resolutions that start
crumbling the moment they’re spoken aloud.

The repeated closing line “I promise next year it will get better / I promise next
year I will be better” sounds more like an attempt to convince oneself than
a reassurance for someone else.

Emile (frontman) “If Christmas is for the
family, then Boxing Day is for your mates.”

TUTV: After a moody guitar/drum intro, all hell breaks loose. No silent night with The Rats. Boxing Day is a fierce, snail-paced torch that slowly but surely heads towards a volcanic eruption. You can feel the ominous tension in the air.

Emile is joined by Lewis Duffin of British indie band Hotel Lux and Jasper De Petter of Belgian noiseninks Ronker for a louder than war finale. Your Xmas will never be the same again, folks. Watch your back for these unhinged punk grinchs.

A Silent Ambient Night With DREW FIVE And His Piano Synthphony ‘HEADING NORTH’

Artist: DREW FIVE
Who: A versatile musician from London who creates/records electronica,
ambient minimalism, neo-classical and post-rock. He’s also half of electro
pop duo Feral Five and Dice Machine.

Track: HEADING NORTH

It’s the third solo movement in a recent minimalist trilogy which includes
the instrumental pieces Stars and Mélodie. It is also featured on Drew’s
new mini-album On The Nature Of Light.

On Heading North we encounter the soundtrack to an imaginary Scandi-noir detective/thriller. With Nordic-jazz echoes that evoke tales of mystery and
imagination, we embark on a journey to find
answers.

This track suggests going places – as the play on words in its title suggests.

It is the antithesis of “heading south” and very much heading in the right
direction. And as we warm ourselves by our northern winter hearths, there
comes hope of resolution in endless Arctic summer days where the sun
finds its home.

Have a silent ambient night, people.
