Stay Home, Stay Safe And Dance To PINS Covering Joy Division’s ‘ISOLATION’…

Daily electricity to load your sonic batteries…

17 April 2020

PINS is definitely the coolest band on this troubled planet right now. With the five new stompers they dropped so far it’s crystal clear that we may expect one of the best albums
of this messed-up year. And if that wasn’t already enough the all-girl sensation just shared their ace cover of Joy Division‘s’ cracker ‘ISOLATION’ referring of course to today’s surreal quarantine days. They turned the classic cracker into a synth-driven groove made to be a global discotheque hit, but given the lockdown situation, you can go crazy to it at home for the time being.

PINS – Coolest Band On The Planet Dropped New Sultry Track ‘PONYTAIL’….

Daily fuel to load your sonic batteries…

10 March 2020

Manchester’s astounding PINS dropped another thrilling piece from their upcoming,
third album called ‘HOT SLICK’ which according to the band is influenced by some big electro acts from the past and present such as LCD Soundsystem, New Order, and synth punk pioneers Suicide. So far we danced to the stomping title track and the booming corker Bad Girls Forever.

And here’s new cut ‘PONYTAIL’“A song about going out at night and hitting the dancefloor. It’s got processed guitars, blippy keyboards, and a spare drum-machine rattle working for it.”

It’s another sickly sticky disco banger that should be played in all discotheques around
the globe. Sensual, sultry and totally addictive. It seems like PINS has become a kick-ass groove machine making me impatiently waiting for the new record. Without a shadow of
a doubt the coolest band on the planet right now.

Make your move right here…

Manchester’s Glamorous PINS Release New Groovy Disco Stomper ‘HOT SLICK’…

Daily fuel to load your sonic batteries…

14 February 2020

So far the wonderful Manchester ladies PINS released two exquisite guitar pop albums Girls Like Us  (2013) and my favourite Wild Nights  (2015), one EP Bad Thing  (with a track called Aggrophobe featuring living legend Iggy Pop, in return Pins did backing vocals on Pop‘s 2019 single James Bond) and splendiferous protest single Serve The Rich both issued in 2017

Today the outspoken feminists launched superb single ‘HOT SLICK’, produced by The
Kills’ Jamie Hince with whom they worked together previously. It’s a spicy disco stomper.
A sickly sticky synth-driven killer track. An electrifying groove with an irresistible beat and
a sensual “get away, get away, I’ve got to get away” chorus with spicy echoes from Donna Summer‘s I Feel Love and Robert Palmer’s Addicted To Love. This dance floor earworm is
a blissful standout that will boost your mood instantly and will make your hips sway.

Shake your booty right here…

Badass And Outspoken – Here Are The Rad PINS Serving The Rich…

17 October 2017

Next Monday – 23 October, Antwerp, Belgium – I will see the awesome THE BREEDERS finally again. But I’m at least equally excited to see, support act, the stellar Manchester
gang PINS too… again. They soundtrack their rage against injustice, intolerance and all sorts of inequality in our society with gloriously amplified knockout pop punk rock gems. Check their two flaming albums GIRLS LIKE US (2013) and WILD NIGHTS (2015) and this year’s excellent 5-track Bad Thing EP, including a collaboration with the one and only punkfather IGGY POP. A few weeks ago, ahead of a series of headline dates & the support slots with The Breeders across Europe the band launched stand out single SERVE THE RICH. Produced by JAMIE HINCE of ‘The Kills‘ it’s a ‘loud and clear’ cracker “about how sometimes we feel like we only exist to make money for other people, it’s a swizz. We are promised things by saviours, these people who have come to rescue us, but it’s not true. ‘Serve The Rich’ was my opportunity to assert myself. I’m saying that we as PINS, musicians, women, Labour voters, and feminists, are here to save the kids, we’re here to save each other, we’re here to save ourselves.
