New York City‘s charged punk dropouts Plasmatics (1978–1983), fronted by
the controversial WENDY O WILLIAMS was arrested on stage at Milwaukee,
40 years ago today, and charged with the offence of simulating sex with
a sledgehammer.

Williams later filed a multimillion-dollar civil suit against the Milwaukee Police,
claiming they sexually assaulted and beat her during the arrest, but a jury
rejected her claims.
