POMONA PARK – Manchester Indies Connect With Vibrant Single ‘LIFELINE’
New striking strokes
21 October 2025
Band: POMONA PARK
Who: Out of the 2021 lockdown, one chilly winter evening by
the Quays of Salford, Pomona Park was born from friendship/work.
The 4 young men found a common calling to express themselves,
after prolonged a period of isolation, with a willingness and a want
to get up and get on with something.
The band get their name from the area called Pomona, a no man’s land of
a space brimming with potential right between Manchester and Salford
(where Joy Division came from).
Track: LIFELINE
Newest single.
Chris Smith (frontman): “It’s about the first time I went to meet my now wife, Lucy.
It explains the anxious excitement of meeting someone properly for the first time. Then
the song explores opening up to someone, and allowing them to see your vulnerabilities,
which is really important when finding a partner.”
TUTV: Expect quintessential indie Britpop. Scintillating guitars, an abundance of energy, impassioned vocals, a sprightly chorus and a story taken directly from life. Both desirous and hesitant.
Love and tension in the air. An recognizable experience
for many of us, which makes Lifeline a connecting reflection.
Vibrant score!
