QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE Released Fourth Longplayer ‘LULLABIES TO PARALYZE’ 15 Years Ago…

Old and new albums to make your day…

22 March 2020

Fifteen years ago, on 21 March 2005, sizzling stoner rockers QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, led by flamboyant ass-kicking frontman JOSH HOMME their fourth album ‘LULLABIES TO PARALYZE’. The first LP after Nick Oliveri‘s dismissal because of his aggressive behavior. Actually, Homme and Mark Lanegan were the only two members left who played on the previous album ‘Songs For The Deaf’.

PITCHFORK wrote: “Lullabies occasionally evokes early Black Sabbath and nods to a few psych-rock stalwarts but, like most Queens’ records, it’s oddly unclassifiable… Ultimately, Lullabies to Paralyze stands as a frantic, steamrolling realization– dynamic, twitchy, and anchored by Homme’s uncompromising vision.” Full review here.
