BOWIE’s Son DUNCAN JONES Reacts To TRUMP Playing ‘REBEL REBEL’

Only hours after appearing in court in Manhattan, NY last Tuesday,
where he pleaded not guilty to 34 felony criminal charges of falsifying
business records – centred around the hush money paid to porn star
Stormy Daniels – former president Donald Trump gave a lies-filled speech
at his safe place in Mar-a-Lago.

Minutes before he appeared before a group of GOP politicians and
a gang of selected fanatics David Bowie‘s 1974 hit Rebel Rebel was
played out loud (see below).

This is the reaction by Bowie‘s son Duncan Jones,
including a great gif of his dad.

I don’t think that 24/7 charlatan Trump nor
his entourage know the lyrics to the song.

Rebel rebel, how could they know?
Hot tramp, I love you so!

Idiots!

Kooky Boston Gang SMITT E. SMITTY & THE FEZZTONES Are Madcap Rebels

13 March 2023

Band: SMIIT E. SMITTY & THE FEZZTONES
Who: Kooky Boston octet

Cover: REBEL REBEL
Yes, that sexy 1974 glam hit of
the late genius David Bowie

Smitty: “I have wanted to cover this David Bowie song for quite some time. Long before he passed away in 2016. We did a version of ‘Panic in Detroit’ for our debut live performance at ONCE in Somerville. We did it again in Detroit at The Detroit All-Star Garage Rock Punk Revue III. The song killed. But I wanted to do a different Bowie song for our performance at the Jamaica Plain Music Festival in 2019. This version of ‘Rebel Rebel’ is ostensibly the version we played live for that event. It came off wonderfully. I knew then and there, I wanted to record it.”

Looks like these madcap rebels have the time of their lives.
As Bowie would say Let’s Dance.

Right here, right now.

DAVID BOWIE Topped UK Albums Chart 45 Years Ago With ‘DIAMOND DOGS’…

9 June 2019

Today 45 years ago the late great genial DAVID BOWIE topped the UK Album Charts with his eighth full length DIAMOND DOGS. The fans loved it, but the press was fairly divided about it. To Turn Up The Volume‘s ears it’s a medium Bowie LP which is still better than any other artist’s average longplayer. And, of course the LP’s stunning glam rock single REBEL REBEL still sounds blistering hot after all these years…
