SERJ TANKIAN Drops Boiling 5-Track EP ‘ELASTICITY’

System Of A Down captain SERJ TAKIAN released a 5-track EP titled ELASTICITY.

Takain about why going solo: “When I conceived possibly doing another record with
the guys from System of a Down a few years back, I started working on a set of songs
that I arranged in rock format for that purpose,” Serj explains. “As we weren’t able to
see eye to eye on the vision going forward with an SOAD album, I decided to release
these songs under my moniker.”

I agree these tracks aren’t really trash and slash SOAD hammers. But hey, do
they want to make the same album as the last one? Yes, Tankian’s songs are
more accessible but it’s not like he wrote pop songs about the birds and the
bees or that your grandparents will go gaga on hearing them.

Taikan rocks (Elasticity and Electric Yerevan are bang-on jackhammers) like
hell, sings like hell and raps like hell. What a voice! Fuck SOAD, welcome Serj.
YEAH!
