Passionate Electricity – Discover Swedish Band VIOLET CHERI And Their New Buzzing Single ‘SHY HURRICANE’
19 August 2020
Band: VIOLET CHERI
Who: Indie band from Stockholm, Sweden formed in 2015. Influenced by bands such
as Bad Cash Quartet, Niccokick, Her Majesty, Broder Daniel and The Jesus & Mary Chain.
They make melodic guitar-driven pop with strong and personal lyrics. After releasing
an EP when they started it’s time for a full album.
Track: SHY HURRICANE – fourth single from upcoming debut LP
About: “I was at the bottom of the abyss of alcohol and drug abuse. All those I thought
were my closest had more or less left my side. It was very lonely there at the bottom. It was
a storm that totally destroyed everything around me and blew away the last ones that were
in my life. Someone called me a “shy hurricane” and I can now see what they meant.” says singer/songwriter Daniel Hoff.
Score: Passionate indie electricity at its very best. Shy Hurricane is a rushing ripsnorter fueled by a mix of Interpol and The Cure like guitars, solid hitting drums, and heart-rending vocals all over it. An amplified, pumped up pop melody with several thrillingly orchestrated layers. Buzzing power-stroke, introspective sentiments, and energetic vociferousness. Enough sparkling potential to discover this up and coming team.
