20 SINEAD O’CONNOR Pearls To Never Forget Her

27 July 2023

When the sad news broke yesterday that (in)famous Irish singer/songwriter
SINEAD O’CONNOR has died it hit like a hard punch in my face, a real shocker.

An unforgettable moment from 1995.

After going all over the internet to find out what happened, I went to my 20-track
Sinead playlist I already compiled back in 2020 when I made a lot of my-fav-arists/bands lists. Yes, I loved her voice, her songwriting, her presence, her dauntless outspokenness and I related heavily to her life-long struggle with bipolar health problems as I experienced them myself for years. It’s hell, pure hell.

Rest in peace, heroic rebel.

R.I.P. SINEAD O’CONNOR – Only 56

26 July 2023

The Irish Times announced a couple of hours ago that famous Irish singer/songwriter has passed away SINEAD O’CONNOR. No details revealed so far.

This is their short communication.

“The Irish singer Sinéad O’Connor has died at the age of 56. The acclaimed Dublin performer released 10 studio albums, while her song Nothing Compares 2 U was named the number one world single in 1990 by the Billboard Music Awards. Ms O’Connor was presented with the inaugural award for Classic Irish Album at the RTÉ Choice Music Awards earlier this year. The singer received a standing ovation as she dedicated the award, for I Do Not Want What I Haven’t Got, to “each and every member of Ireland’s refugee community”.

On 17 July she posted this heartbreaking message on her social media.
Her son Shane took his own life January 2022. Only 17.
But so far no official news about how O’Connor died.

Sinead O’Connor is/was incomparable! Sad, really sad news!

Amazing Artwork! Nothing Compared To Her

called I’m Not Bossy, I’m The Boss, released in 2014

The record was originally to be called The Vishnu Room, after the song of the same name on the LP, but was changed, along with its original cover design, shortly before release in support of the Ban Bossy campaign. It was a self-censorship action launched in 2014 by LeanIn.org. The campaign criticizes the use of the word “bossy” to describe assertive girls and women, proposing that the word is stigmatizing and may discourage girls and women from seeking positions of leadership.

Nothing compared to her…

Amazing Grace – SARAH WALK With Goosebumps Version Of ‘NOTHING COMPARES 2 U’

24 March 2021

SARAH WALK is a Los Angeles based singer-songwriter with
a crystal voice balancing between chanteuses Angel Olsen and
Sharon Van Etten.

She recently shared an amazing version of global hit Nothing
Compares 2 U
written and recorded by the late great Prince
and made world-famous by Sinead O’Connor back in 1990.

Walk: “I didn’t want to get too inside the other versions that
already existed because I wanted to make sure I approached
it my own way.”

Her version is wholly affecting with an ongoing magnetic piano
touch, a heavy-hearted orchestration, and her goosebumps
voice. Mesmeric rendition!
