MOJO Magazine – New Issue With Cover Stars The SMALL FACES

11 January 2026

SMALL FACES are one of the legendary 60s Brit-pop-rock bands. Their most praised
album Ogdens’ Nut Gone Flake, from 1968, will get an expanded reissue treatment.

An opportunity for MOJO to revisit the psychedelic masterpiece with help from its survivors, telling a tale of dosed neighbours, defenestrated record players, revolution
and regret.

.
Also in the issue: Paul Weller on The Style Council’s salad days; Yes’s oceanic odyssey;
B.B. King reconsidered; Alice Coltrane; Suicide; Skids; Steve Cropper; Judas Priest; Jimmy
Cliff; The Unthanks; Dick Gaughan; Guy Stevens; Bill Callahan; Bob Lind; Neil Young;
Status Quo;
and more.

New UNCUT Issue With Cover Stars THE SMALL FACES

27 March 2025

This month’s UNCUT issue shines the spotlight on British
mod-pop-rock legends SMALL FACES (1965–1969, 1975–1978).

1968 was a year of extremes for the band, from hit singles
and a career-defining album Odgen’s Nut Gone Flake to
a final, on-stage bust-up.

But while the bonds between them were strained by internal tensions
and external dramas, the music Steve Marriott, Ronnie Lane, Ian McLagen
and Kenney Jones made in their final months together pointed tantalizingly
in bold, new directions.

Also features on Lou Reed, Bootsy Collins, Radiohead, Suzanne
Vega, Belly
, David Johanson, new album reviews, and much more.

This month’s Free CD is exclusive Small Faces one
with alternative mixes, raritie,s and live cuts.

You can purchase a copy and have it sent to your home. Info HERE.

24 March 2024 – Another Lazy Sunday Afternoon

24 March 2024

A-wouldn’t it be nice to get on with me neighbors?
But they make it very clear they’ve got no room for ravers

They stop me from groovin’, they bang on me wall (what’s going on in there?)
They doing me crust in, it’s no good at all, ah

Lazy Sunday afternoon
I’ve got no mind to worry
I close my eyes and drift away

Here we all are sittin’ in a rainbow
Go blimey, hello, Mrs. Jones
How’s old Bert’s lumbago? (He mustn’t grumble)

I’ll sing you a song with no words and no tune
(Tweedle-dee bite) to sing in the khazi while you suss out the moon, oh yeah
Lazy Sunday afternoon, ah
I’ve got no mind to worry, ah
Close my eyes and drift away, ah

A-roo-dee-doo-dee-doo
A-roo-dee-doo-dee-die-day
A-roo-dee-doo-dee-dum
A-roo-dee-doo-dee-doo-dee

There’s no one to hear me
There’s nothing to say
And no one can stop me from feeling this way, yeah

Lazy Sunday afternoon
I’ve got no mind to worry
Close my eyes and drift away

Lazy Sunday afternoon
I’ve got no mind to worry
Close my eyes and drift
Close my mind and drift away
Close my eyes and drift away
