Band: JESUS ON EXTASY (glorious name)
Who: Industrial rock outfit from Germany, founded by Dorian Deveraux in 2005 in Essen. Their genre-defying sound and bold aesthetic made them one of the most talked-about acts in the dark music underground. They shared stages with the likes of Marilyn Manson, Nightwish, Eisbrecher and The Birthday Massacre before stepping away from the spotlight and disappearing into the night for a while. But they’re back now.
So far, they have recorded/released
4 albums and #5 is on its way.

Dorian Deveraux: “It’s a post-breakup song dealing with the feeling of reality
kicking in after you’ve basically mourned the loss of a loved one. You start to see
them for what they really are and you start wondering if any of it was even real
or if you’ve been gaslighted all along.
I’d be lying (mostly to myself) if I told you the song isn’t autobiographical. It was
written in the aftermath of a pretty dark period in my life and was an outlet to
deal with the trauma.”
