TOYAH And ROBERT – Happy 75 – Were Born To Be Wild

TOYAH and her husband/soulmate ROBERT FRIPP and
their friend Sydney are unstoppable. They go nuts every
week in their little kitchen – since April 2020 – with their
hilarious Sunday Lunch cover sessions.

It was a special Sunday yesterday, as Robert Fripp
celebrated his 75th birthday. The King Crimson legend
was born in Wimborne Minster, Dorset, UK on 16 May 1946.
Yoohoo! Bring on the cake!

That’s probably why the two YouTube stars
picked Steppenwolf‘s classic cracker from
1968: Born To Be Wild.

Another kooky Toyah/Robert performance. Time to get wet…

Last week DEAP LIPS, the awesome collaboration between surreal fairytale addicts
THE FLAMING LIPS and steamy blues rock tandem DEAP VALLY, unleashed their
fabulous self-titled debut album. Without a shadow of a doubt one of the coolest longplayers of the year.

The supergroup launched an intoxicating video clip for one of the tracks, their spaced-
out cover version of ‘THE PUSHER‘, an anti-dope-dealer song by born to be wild rockers Steppenwolf . Open your mind, eyes and ears and fly eight miles high…

Flaming Supergroup DEAP LIPS Surprises With Self-Titled Delirious Debut LP

14 March 2020

At the end of last year came the startling news that female Californian blues-rock
turbo DEAP VALLY and frontman Wayne Coyne & multi-instrumentalist Steven Drozd
of Oklahoma‘s wayward and Wizard of Oz psych rockers THE FLAMING LIPS teamed
up for a collaboration called DEAP LIPS.

Yesterday the surprising supergroup unleashed their magical, self-titled debut album sounding overall like The Flaming Lips fronted by Deap Vally‘s mesmeric vocalist Lindsey
Troy
whose magnetic voice never resonated that magical and arresting. She takes the many otherworldly Lips lullabies to a spellbinding level. Check outstanding musings
Shit Talkin‘, ‘Hope Hell High’, ‘Love Is A Mind Control‘, ‘Home Thru Hell‘ and the captivating, psychedelic reflection ‘There Is Know Right There Is Know Wrong‘ and you’ll know exactly what I mean. Add cutting mantra ‘Motherfuckers Got To Go’ and trippy synth tunes ‘Not
A Natural Man’
and ‘One Thousand Sisters With Aluminum Foil Calculators’ and what you
get is a most arresting record for the midnight hours. Delirious transcendence! Top!

London’s Foursome THE RINGARDS Impresses With Their Fresh Ominous Single ‘STEPPENWOLF’…

Daily fuel to load your sonic batteries…

3 January 2019

Band: THE RINGARDS

Who: Highly promising “British quartet formed in the summer of 2017, under a
hidden London sun, playing indie rock, a mixture of classic high energy songs with
both big sing-along courses and mellow dreamy tracks. Each track is a different
journey but always filled with catchy lyrics and made memorable with singer
Enzo’s distinctive and hypnotic voice.”

Pick: STEPPENWOLF – New single

Score: Your sonic attention will be drawn from the very first imposing beat and the haunting tonality of the singer’s articulation on this astonishing cracker. Within thirty
seconds the tension goes up, the story gets more claustrophobic while wailing guitars create a sort of weird voodoo feel. Totally intriguing stroke you’ll have on repeat for a while.Tune in here and get doomed…
