THE BLACK KEYS Share Another Brisk Stomper From New LP – Here’s ‘EAGLE BIRDS’…

Brand new sonic impulses

Blues brothers Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney, better known as THE BLACK KEYS, dropped new pounding single LO/FI  early last month after being involved separately in other projects during their 5-year absence as a duo. Today they confirmed the rumors about a new album. Their ninth studio LP, titled LET’S ROCK, will be out in June.

They also shared a second cut. ‘EAGLE BIRDS’ follows in the footsteps of the previous track. It’s also a back-to-the-roots stomper that will activate your body’s movements
from the first banging chord on. Oh yeah, this guys sure wanna rock again.

THE BLACK KEYS Released Second Raw & Rough LP ‘THICKFREAKNESS’ 15 Years Ago…

Going back in sonic history looking for memorable albums…

6 April 2018

BAND: THE BLACK KEYS

ALBUM: THICKFREAKNESS – their second longplayer

RELEASED: 8 April 2003 – 15 years ago

PITCHFORK wrote: “Thickfreakness isn’t quite their debut, but it’s still a powerhouse, even exceeding its ancestor in total spectacle. Raw rock grandeur as so frequently conjured up on this album is hard to come by in any capacity; if that means having to overlook a few minor flaws, it’s worth it.”

TURN UP THE VOLUME says: White blues as raw, rough and rip-roaring as its black roots…
