It feels like Texas-born country star WILLIE NELSON is around like forever.
At the blessed age of 90, he still does what he did all of his life, writing easy
going, romantic tunes.

His 75th (!!!) solo album (his 152nd overall, including collaborations, soundtracks, and compilations), named THE BORDER will be shared with his millions of fans on May 31.
One month (29 April) following his 91st birthday.

Willie Nelson recorded the album with producer and long-time collaborator Buddy Cannon. It includes four new songs that they wrote together, as well as some new ones written by songwriters that Nelson admires, including Shawn Camp, Mike Reid, and Bobby Tomberlin.

Following first taster The Border we get a second one.

MADE IN TEXAS is a simple, but terrifically chirpy tune.
Nelson entertains my eclectic ears again.

Imperishable, non-stop 90-year-old country music-maker WILLIE NELSON has
his 75th solo album (his 152nd overall, including collaborations, soundtracks, and
compilations) recorded. It’s named THE BORDER and is slated for release on May 31.
One month (29 April) following his 91st birthday.

Willie Nelson recorded the album with producer and longtime collaborator Buddy Cannon. It includes four new songs that they wrote together, as well as some new ones written by songwriters that Nelson admires, including Shawn Camp, Mike Reid, and Bobby Tomberlin.

On the other hand the first single and title track isn’t a new song. It’s one composed by Rodney Crowell, another Texan country veteran, first released five years ago. It’s a smooth, romantic musing, it’s Willie Nelson alright.

THE BORDER

No rest for Nelson.
