Ahead of its release, the band have shared 3 tasters/singles. They produce a peppy
mix of Britpop swagger (The Charlatans, The Stone Roses), shoegaze (Swirlies, Drop Nineteens, Catherine Wheel) and slacker rock (Dinosaur Jr, Sebadoh). Actually all you need to start
a 24-hour rave party.
Daily noise that works faster than a stream of caffeine
You blink your eyes and ears, and what happens? Nu-metal giants SLIPKNOT

party is planned for next year. They just announced dates in Europe. Of course,
many more dates around the world TBA.
Wake up people,
It’s not the end, so far
for the Iowa freaks.
In order to not miss a beat Turn Up The Volume scans the musical

Band: CARDINALS Who: Indie rock 4-piece
from York, Ireland.
Euan Manning (frontman) “To me, it’s a song about reflection, looking
at what went wrong but also at what went right. The worst and the best.
Its climax crowns love as an overwhelmingly positive force, whichever type
of love that may be. It’s a change of pace for us and definitely feels like
a bridging moment for what’s to come next.”
Guitar pop at its uplifting best.
A tantalizing, play on repeat tune.
Is that an accordion I hear midway?
Totally cool.

Album artwork
Deep Blue is an evocative eletro-pop tune swinging
forth and back, with O’Brien’s seducing and crystalline
voice absorbing attention all the way trough.
The song is the lead single of the first album since vocalist/songwriter Maxi Jazz
passed away in late 2023, aged 65. The LP is named Champion Sound. Details TBA.
Actually a slightly reworked version of the opener
of their 2006 supernova LP The Black Parade.
It features in the new trailer for the last season (starting August 8) of Netflix‘s
action series The Umbrella Academy based on the comic book series of the
same name, written by Gerard Way, bandleader of My Chemical Romance.
