THE GOOD THE BAD & THE QUEEN With New Track/Clip From Upcoming LP – Here’s ‘GUN TO THE HEAD’…

Brand new sonic impulses

Supergroup THE GOOD THE BAD & THE QUEEN with Blur‘s Damon Albarn, The Clash’s
Paul Simonon, The Verve’s Simon Tong, and Fela Kuti drummer Tony Allen launches second longplayer MERRIE LAND on 16 November. Ahead of its release the band shared another new track today, called GUN TO THE HEAD. A merrily grisly ode to British life with a creepy ventriloquist dummy as the storyteller in the intriguing accompanying video clip.

THE GOOD THE BAD & THE QUEEN On BBC TV With New Track ‘MERRIE LAND’…

Yesterday supergroup THE GOOD THE BAD & THE QUEEN, with Blur‘s Damon Albarn,
The Clash’s Paul Simonon, The Verve’s Simon Tong, and Fela Kuti drummer Tony Allen made
its TV comeback to play the title track off their second album, called MERRIE LAND written “during the current period in which the UK is preparing to leave the European Union – creating
a reluctant good-bye letter, a series of observations and reflections on Britishness in 2018”.

The new song is a contemplative ballad that brings the
Leonard Cohen‘s story-telling way of singing to mind…
