Chart with ABC on 25 April 1970, this day 55 years ago.

Billboard said: “This pulsating swinger has all the sales
and chart potential of the initial entry ‘I Want You Back'”.

The song replaced The Beatles’ “Let It Be” on the number-one spot.

It reached No. 8 in the UK.

on The Ed Sullivan Show. The single sold over 6 million copies
worldwide.

Back then Michael was a sensational
kid with a singular voice and eye-popping
dance moves. A natural-born star.
