In a new interview with Contact Music, guitarist The Kooks‘ Hugh Harris spoke about how it has become common for them to be approached by younger bands who grew up listening to them, but one high profile meeting almost passed him by.

Turn Up The Volume: Too calculated and commerce-orientated boys band songs.
But hey, it sold more than 2 million copies and peaked at #2 on the UK Charts, so
they pleased a mass of fans (mostly young girls).
