THE MENZINGERS – Philly Rockers Will Fly To Europe & The UK Next Year

Posted on by JL

2 September 2026

Steamed-up American rockers THE MENZINGERS from Scranton, Pennsylvania
celebrate their 20th anniversary as a band. They did it, for starters, with their
new, 8th LP, called EVERYTHING I EVER SAW, that came out last July.

It’s a turbo-charged record stuffed with highly passionate, mesmeric
pieces of intensely emotional music, lyrically, vocally and sonically.

Kerrang says: “Diametrically opposed life experiences for The Menzinger’s two frontmen ensures this eight album beautifully captures the whole spectrum of human emotion one of band’s very best. As a result, their melodic punk reflects both the macro and the micro, the universal and the personal. You get the country as a whole told through the very specific, individual experiences of co-frontmen Tom May and Greg Barnett.”

The band just announced they’re flying, accompanied by Canadian punk
buddies The Flatliners, to the UK and Europe next year to promote the
new album.

THE MERZINGERS Reveal New Track ‘SECOND CITY’ Written For Their Former Record Label

Posted on by JL

Daily noise that works faster than a stream of caffeine

29 August 2024

Pennsylvania‘s veteran punk rockers THE MENZINGERS
released their 7th LP Some Of It Was True last October.

They return now with a new ripper for a special occasion. Chicago punk label
Red Scare Industries released the band’s 2nd album in 2010. The label is celebrating
its 20th anniversary with a new compilation, and The Menzingers wrote this new one SECOND CITY for the occasion/compilation

Greg Barnett (frontman): “We spent a lot of time in Chicago during the formative years
of the band, so when asked to contribute a song for Red Scare’s 20th anniversary, it felt right
to pay homage to that era. “Second City” is about a time and place that feels impossible to recreate now, and maybe that’s why I hold it so close to my heart. Chicago has been like a second home, so it felt pretty natural to write about.”

Second City is more pop than punk, and it sticks quite quickly.

Waking Up With No Place In The World For Pennsylvania Rockers THE MENZINGERS

Daily noise that works faster than any stimulant

19 July 2023

Pennsylvania’s puissant rockers THE MERZINGERS produce lots of passionate noise since 2006. So far they fabricated 6 LPs. And number 7 is hanging in the air. No details so far but the band just confirmed the news and revealed the first single.

THERE’S NO PLACE IN THE WORLD FOR ME is pure Menzingers. A fiery cry out where
the combination of emotion, agony, and fervour sends shivers down your spine and
Greg Barnett‘s hot-tempered voice does the very same thing.

Astonishing.
