British glam and glitter stars THE SWEET were a non-stop hit machine
between 1968 and 1977, thanks to profilic songwriter duo Nicky Chinn
and Mike Chapman who also composed for Smokie, Suzy Quatro, Mud and
Racey among others.
One of their Number Ones in the UK was BLOCKBUSTER,
that topped the charts this day, 51 years ago.
A blockbuster it was.
“Does anyone know the way, did we hear someone say
(We just haven’t got a clue what to do)
Does anyone know the way, there’s got to be a way
To blockbuster”
