BLACK SABBATH Guitarist Talks With KERRANG About His Brand New Album

Today Black Sabbath‘s phenomenal guitarist TONY IOMMI (78 now) released
his 4th solo album, his first in 21 years, named FROM THE DARK (stream below).

Iommi: “Sabbath retired, and you think you’ll get plenty of time, but I keep
saying yes to things! It’s embedded in me. It’s just in my bones. I can’t stop
doing this stuff. I like it.”

He talked in extension with premier metal mag Kerrang about
the past, the present and his new solo exploit. Full interview HERE.

Kerrang about the LP: “Legacy offers a spellbinding conclusion that somehow encapsulates this album’s testament to its creator’s undimmed spirit, determined to move forward even as those six strings conjure inevitable nostalgia for decades of truly momentous music. All hail Iommi!”

TUTV: To be honest, I’m not a dedicated heavy metal fan, but as a music junkie
I know the classics in the genre. At first I thought I was listening here to a record
of Sabbath‘s era with Ronnie James Dio (1942-2012) as their titanic vocalist, because Iommi‘s vocal sidekick on this album, the herculean Norwegian singer Jørn Lande, has
Dio‘s towering timbre. Earth-shaking. Anyways, I’ll let the fanatic Sabbath and metal

I never thought I would feature ROBBIE WILLIAMS (51 now) here. But hey, my ears
decide what’s happening, and they tell me that his new single ROCKET is a blast.

It’s the first taster from his upcoming 13th album, his first in 6 years. It’s named BRITPOP and lands this Autumn. Williams invited Black Sabbath‘s Tony Iommi to give the track some extra punch with roasting riffs.

Williams: “I set out to create the album that I wanted to write and release after I left Take That in 1995. It was the peak of Britpop and a golden age for British Music. I’ve worked with some of my heroes on this album; it’s raw, there are more guitars and it’s an album that’s even more upbeat and anthemic than usual. There’s some ‘Brit’ in there and there’s certainly some ‘pop’ too – I’m immensely proud of this as a body of work and I’m excited for fans to hear this album. ”

There’s also a whole lot of energy on “Rocket,” the lead single from Williams forthcoming
LP ‘Britpop’. It’s a charged-up pop-punk snorter with some serious Ramones/Undertones vibes, and it’s got guitar from the legendary Black Sabbath axe-wrecker Tony Iommi. We’re looking at a statement.”

Cesar Gueikian is the CEO of the Gibson company. The makers of the iconic
Gibson guitar. Recently he decided to start a band simply called GIBSON BAND.

He recruited two rock giants with System Of A Down‘s frontman
Serj Tankian and Black Sabbath‘s 6-string hero Tony Iommi.

The star trio launched their debut single yesterday, with all profits going to charity.
The mid-tempo hammer blow is named DECONSTRUCTION. How does it sound, I
hear you ask? Well, the band should have been named System Of A Black Sabbath Down.

Black Sabbath‘s guirar hero TONY IOMMI is back – since
the band’s 2013 album ’13’ – with new solo music and his
own brand of perfume!

Iommi: “My fans will think I’ve gone mad. It’s something I would’ve never
thought of involving myself in. But it’s been nice to be involved in it.”
