NINE INCH NOIZE = Trent Reznor’s NIN And German Acid House DJ BOYS NOIZE

17 April 2026

NINE INCH NOIZE is the collaborative project of Trent Reznor‘s
industrial rock turbine NINE INCH NAILS and German acid house
DJ BOYS NOIZE.

They did/do a series of shows together, with the most
recent one, last weekend at Coachella festival.

And today their first, self-named longplayer is out.

The album consists of re-recorded and reworked versions of songs by NIN, a new version of Memorabilia, a song by legendary British electro pop act Soft Cell they had previously covered, and a cover of a song by Reznor and Ross‘s side-project, How To Destroy Angels. It features a mix of live and studio recordings.

Reznor: “The creative fulfilment of working on the Challengers and Tron scores with
Boys Noize led me to think that including him in the Peel It Back tour could be an interesting way to express NIN in more purely electronic terms live — a concept I’ve wanted to explore for some time. The result was so much fun for us we felt it was worth expanding and formalizing
in some way.”

“The album was recorded “all over the place, some of it’s live, some in studios,
hotels, planes, etc. We had a lot of fun revisiting these songs and hope you enjoy.”

NINE INCH NAILS Scored New Movie Soundtrack – Hear Drill Hammer ‘AS ALIVE AS YOU NEED ME TO BE’

Daily noise that works faster than a stream of caffeine

NINE INCH NAILS bandmates, frontman Trent Reznor and multi-instrumentalist
Atticus Ross spend most of their time, lately, together scoring series soundtracks
under their own names.

They wrote their newest one for the upcoming, 3rd installment of
the science fiction Tron series, titled Tron: Ares. It premieres on
October 2025.

This one is credited to Nine Inch Nails (will sell better I guess).

The first taster of that soundtrack is named
AS ALIVE AS YOU NEED ME TO BE and it’s
100% NIN. An ominous hammer drill.

Wake up people,
rub your eyes
the film is about
to start.

With a bit of time on their hands in-between
they started touring again, since June.

A Message From NINE INCH NAILS And TRENT REZNOR’s Favorite Track Of 2024

NINE INCH NAILS confirm rumours about a 2025 world tour.

Last week, the band’s luminary TRENT REZNOR
revealed his favorite track of 2024. Very, very,
very surprising.

And the winner is…

More than 1,8 billion streams on Spotify.
Wowzers (although, personally, I think is an
average R&B tune).

NINE INCH NAILS – Ground/Noise-Breaking Album ‘THE DOWNWARD SPIRAL’ Is 30

TRENT REZNOR and his NINE INCH NAILS released their classic LP THE DOWNWARD SPIRAL 30 years ago, on 8 March 1994. A ground/noise-breaking masterwork that cemented NIN’s greatness for eternity.

Rolling Stone wrote: “NIN achieve a new kind of loud on The Downward Spiral: accessible hard-rock moves overlaid with a scrim of electronic racket, white noise, screams, the kind of blown-speaker rattle that seems to use the limitations of crappy stereo equipment the way that Hendrix riffed on the distortion that howled from overdriven Marshall stacks. It’s a new frontier in rock & roll: music that pins playback levels far into the red.”

Reznor looks back.
