At first listen, the song sounds like a typical tale of unfaithfulness or and disloyalty, but it’s more about the complicated feelings around a relationship coming to its natural ending. There’s anger and curiosity, otherizing and intense self-reflection. Either way, there is sadness and pain to manage.”
