Virginia‘s metal shock rockers GWAR are fabricating
horror-ific hullabaloo since 1984 (with different line-ups).

They recorded/released 15 albums so far, with
The New Dark Ages from 2022, as their most
recent one.

And here comes their first new crusher in 3 years with
a hellraiser called THE GREAT CIRCUS TRAIN DISASTER.

Grodius Maximus (guitarist): “The song just kinda came to us one day while we were all hanging out injecting ketamine and crushed-up insects into our dick holes. We were fucked up for days as we experienced hallucinations of charred clown bodies, lobster people impaled on stalagmites, and the unholy image of our pet baby dinosaur being whored out as sexual meat to a greasy mass of scabies encrusted republicans and greased up catholic priests. When we came to, the song was fully formed. All we had to do was hit record and BOOM…’The Great Circus Train Disaster’ was born.”

Australian backbreaking hard rockers AIRBORNE have been around for
a while now, actually since 2003. But for the last 5 years, after the release
of their 6th album Boneshaker, they got very silent.

Until now. The hairy bunch from down under are back in illegal
decibels town with a red-hot smoking cannonball named GUTSY.

Band: PANIC SHACK
Who: 4 pop punkettes from Wales. In 2022 they
released their 6-track debut EP Baby Shack.

Track: THELMA & LOUISE
The 3rd shared piece from their upcoming,
self-titled debut LP, which shows up on
July 16.


The movie

The song is inspired by the classic 1991 movie of the same name,

“It’s the first love song we’ve ever written, and will probably be the last. It’s an ode to female friendships and how they’re often more fulfilling than romantic relationships. We were inspired to write this song after watching the feminist masterpiece that is Thelma & Louise. It resonated with us so much because we’re quite frankly obsessed with each other.

“There are a million songs about love interests and broken hearts and we thought it was about time we championed being in love with your best friends. Roll down the windows, crank up the volume and scream at the top of your lungs.”

Boston‘s celtic punks DROPKICK MURPHYS cause
sonic havoc and massive sing-alongs since 1996.

So far, they have 12 albums on their résumé, including two tribute
ones (2021 and 2023) for legendary left activist and folk hero Woody
Guthrie.

The first clamorous, pumped-up chant we get is titled WHO’LL STAND WITH US?
A loud invitation to join DM and fight all money-and-power greedy autocrats. And

ALICE COOPER In Horrorland Again With New Speedball ‘WILD ONES’

A couple of weeks ago horror-rock oldtimer ALICE COOPER, born
Vincent Damon Furnier in Detroit, 77 years ago, let us know that he
reunited with the remaining members of his original band for a
new album.

Together, the then called Alice Cooper Band released seven studio albums together between 1969 and 1974 consisting of Pretties For You (1969), Easy Action (1970), Love
It To Death (1971), Killer (1972), School’s Out (1972), Billion Dollar Babies (1973) and
Muscle of Love (1974).

The new LP is named The Revenge Of Alice Cooper..
It will land on July 25. More info here.

Along with the news Alice & Co dropped first single Black Mamba and
here’s another one, a guitar-hysterical speedball named WILD ONES.

Veteran rockers SUPERCHUNK from North Carolina,
formed in 1989, and are alive and kicking.

They have finished the recordings of their 13th LP.
It’s baptized Songs in the Key of Yikes and will land
on August 22.

The band also said that the 2 singles they dropped last year,
Bruised Lung and Everybody Dies will on the album. More

Along all that news comes taster number three.
IS IT MAKING YOU FEEL SOMETHING is a vintage
guitar-dominating Superchunk ripper.

“This song is about not second-guessing yourself in the very second-guessable
process of writing words and music. It’s about the legitimate question of “who
needs this and what is it good for?” but also about not setting such a high bar
for making art that you never get started. “Is it making you feel something?”
OK, that’s a place to start.”

Manchester‘s post-punk vets CHAMELEONS led by mastermind, vocalist and bassist
Mark Burgess aka VOX (now aged 65) recorded/released only 4 albums, so far, since
their inception in 1981. But relentless touring kept them in the spotlight.

And a few weeks ago the long-awaited news came in that Vox & Co have bagged
their first LP in 24 years. It’s baptized ARCTIC MOON and will show up on Sept 12th.
